Calls For the Newbie Turkey hunter, one and only thread
Ok, i keep seeing random threads by many new turkey hunters on here ( like myself [:-] ) about what calls are best or what calls to buy if they are new. So lets have one thread for this and keep it at the top for all new hunters who come to this board so you all dont have to keep posting.
If you reply please give info on what a new turkey hunter should have in his bag. PLease include manf and type of call or calls best suited for the begginer.
I hope this helps

I think the most important call to keep in your bag is the one YOU feel most comfortable with. Try a bunch and keep practicing.
I think the easiest call to learn and replicate turkey sounds are either a box call or a push-button call. There are many different manufactures - my own personal favorite is QuakerBoy.
