Looks like things might still work out. My hunting partner just seen the same group of birds dusting about 100 yards from where I missed. He confirms that the big longbeard was still there and having fun running the smaller birds away from his hens.

BT I would love to know what you do for a living? How many days do you hunt in the spring? I would wish you good luck on the rest of the spring but I dont think you need it!!!!

Boy did I !
I had a nice tom hot and lookin for me. I thought my set up was good. He came through the thick cover and popped out at ten yards. He must have seen me move to get on him and I shot anyway. Next time I will wait for him to walk past me.
Oh well...
