I thought some of you might like seeing the difference a year can make.
Here's a nice buck we got on cam last year:

This deer was spotted twice at long distances at the end of the year, so we didn't think he was killed.
He didn't show up on cams until recently. I am pretty sure this is him with a nice 8 point (I also like
the totally different genetics, which typifies the bucks in our area).

Any guesses on respective scores for each year?
We've been putting out the season based supplements now for 3 years, so it looks like it's paying off.
Also,in this area of the country (S. Central Louisiana), anything over 100" is considered abig buck.
We also have a late rut, typified by the 10/16 bachelor group.

Not real sure, but I think your pretty safe with exceeding the 100" mark on both deer and on the deer last year.
Just a guess, I think last year he would go 128"-130" and this year I have hime at 145"-150", like I said I could be way off, just my opinion. Great deer none the less.
I bet your 8 point would probably go in the mid 130's, which is an awesome 8 pt.

Thanks Miller,
Last year I was told the first pic would be about 125" (lack of tine length), so that is close.
If either of those come by me there will be absolutely no hesitation. They will be on my wall.
Catching them when it's not 3:16 a.m. will be the difficult part. [8D]

It's a great buck.. for sure.
But to be honest.. I don't think he gained all that much. Probably only 15 inches really.. (which is common)
Good luck on him though. I hope you get a chance.
