Default decoy spread

just wondering what you guys consider a good decoy layout I' m thinking of a pair of hens and a jake. I wan' t to find feeding hens and a jake with his head low. I heard you set the hens up facing you so the gobbler will strut with his back to you anyone ever try this?

Default RE: decoy spread

I use three deeks myself, two feeding hens and a jake. PLace the jake deek in a spot where you have a good shot with your gun, and Face him towards you. PLace the hens off to the side of him and face them " AWAY" from you!! Gobblers usually will apparoach a jake decoy head on and a hen from the rear. This will alow you to make a final move on him if he' s in full strut.
