last minute ???
I hunt on a two hundred acre piece of land. On that piece of land we have a high spot overlooking a clover patch which is right next to a field; inbetween the two is a pretty dence area of brush. There is a pipe line running from a high area to a low area. And a high tention line running through another section. I am going hunting with my dad and my brother. We currently have a blind overlooking the clover and field. I saw one turkey out in the field last year, but i could only see him from my tree stand that isright next to the blind because of the high brush area. My dad is planning to have all three of us sit in that blind. Its a home-made blind that the deers and turkeys have both gotten used to (we have seen footprints in there, and a deer knocked part of it down last year becuase he didnt know how to get out) Personally i think it is going to be pretty cramped in there with the three of us. I want to go to a spot down in a hollow near a path I think the turkeys use quite often. I saw 17 turkeys pass that spot last fall while deer hunting and it looked like more had been using it. I am thinking of setting back in the woods off the pipe line a little bit and sticking one or two decoys in the grass of the hightention line and one inside the woods. What do you guys think sound good? And do turkeys normally use the same paths in the Spring that they do in the fall? Thanks

Ben, sounds like your going with your gut feeling and it' s a good bet!! Turkeys love those gas/power line right of ways!! Try it out and see what happens, experience will always be your best teacher!!
