Default Finally Patterned my Win 1300

I finally got to pattern my winchester 1300 with my new .665 undertaker choke I only got to pattern it at 20 and 30 yards (wanted to try 40yds but was too muddy that far back, but will go to give it a try at 40 as soon as it dries out some) but was very impressed. I shot winchester supreme HV 1 3/4oz 5' s and 6' s and Remington Duplex 4x6' s the Winchester Supreme HV #6' s patterened the best with over 50 hits in the head and neck at 30 yards and no gaps in the pattern and at 20yds it left a solid hole the size of a baseball in the tarket. But from this I feel that most likely I will be good to 40yds. But I will get out to test this in the next week or so. With the Winchester Supreme HV #5s I got around 40 neck and head hits with some gaps in the pattern, and with the Remington Duplex 4x6' s I got around 45 head and neck hits with no gaps in the pattern.

My 1300 has a .665 hastings and it also shoots the winchester HV 6s the best. Actually it shoots about any 6 good enough to kill a turkey, but the HVs really plaster them.

My 1300 uses a Kicks Gobblin thunder .665 and like yours, done a fine job. I feel that the Winchester 1300 is underappreciated gun. It' s a flat out killer!

Yeah I have to say I was very impressed with the patterns, oh i' m sure I could get better but I think i' ll leave well enough alone. I agree with Turk2di the 1300 is a very underappreciated gun. Mine is the Black Shadow model so it is very light, great for those long hikes. But I think the feature I like most about it is the rotary bolt. It acts like a cross between a semi-auto and a pump. I like the fact that when you fire the gun the bold disengages and in most cases ejects the shell. But even if it doesn' t kick the shell out it only takes very little movement and the shell is out and live one is in. I would deffinitly recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive starter gun. In fact abuddy of mine bought a 1300 universal hunter and uses it for deer and turkey and loves his. And just the other day he recommended it to one of his neighbors.

Yes I have a couple of 1300' s too. Mine with the undertaker like the fed. #6 shot. Funny thing is it even patterns better with the 2 3/4" over the 3" . But both deliver awsome patterns. Mine doesn' t like any of the bigger stuff though.

The other 1300 with a Tru Glo strut stopper love fed. #5 shot in 2 oz loads.

I love the gun for running and gunning. Nice and light. doesn' t kick too bad.
