Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default patterned my 835

I spent sometime shooting my new 835 thursday morning. All I can say is WOW! this thing is unreal. I have a 535 also and my 835 kicks nothing like the 535. I will try to get some pictures up of my targets. I shot winchester turkey loads in number 5 and 6s and then the Supreme Elites in number 5. I started at 10 yards with some 2 3/4 shells to help me get my scope sighted in. I use the shoot N-C targets and at 35 yards all there was was yellow. I moved my way back in 5 yard increments until I got 60 yards and it still put 43 hits in the vitals at 60 yards. My gun is using the factory ported choke and has the 20 inch barrell. I was also leary of the tru-glo 2x red dot because I have heard of them shattering. I shot 30 rounds through my gun that day and it held up like a champ.

Yeah it was measured, we have a shooting range set up at my Grandparents. I'll post pictures when I get my camera working. You guys need to realize that with todays shotshell/chokerevolution barrell length really is not the deciding factor on your pattern success.

love my 835 also, and never noticed a big kick. Got a new Star choke to try in it. Will probably be using it for fall turkeys so I wont be home for Spring!

Do a mapquest search for Starlight ,Indiana and Pm me before you leave and I'll give you my phone number so we can meet up. Hmmmmm, You nonbelievers can believe haveing upwards of 200 pluspellets at 40 yards in a 10" circle and you cannot believe 43 hits at 60? What gives.

There is some confusion, first you said 43 hits in the vitals and now it's in a 10" circle! Which one is it? I might buy the 10" circle, but not the vitals. Since when are the vitals the size of a 10" circle? And, remember the energy of the pellets decreases significantly at those ranges.
