Trying to scout some new areas on Public Land but the rain just keeps on coming.
Everything is washed away and the gobblers arnt talking.
Drove 45 minutes yesterday evening. Got to the location, got out of the truck to search for tracks, walked maybe 50 ft. and it started raining like a cow peeing on
a flat rock. Rain finally quit so I decided to walk over to a ridge and sit and listen
for any birds flying up to roost. I had just sat down when the wind picked up and it started pouring again. Theres alot of logging going on in my old area so I need to
find some new spots. Guess I might be going into it blind this year.[&o]
Just looked out the window and its still raining. [:@][:' (]

Benhunting; I know what you are talking about,as they say " been there done that" ,I live just south of you and we haven' t had a day in better than a week that it hasn' t rained in the morning.
the weather man says this Sunday ,mon. and tue. is gtoing to be good.
I will go all of those mornings before work to listen. hope things are better for you also.
some times I find where they are logging is good.give it a try and scout the other places in the day after the hens have gone to nest.

hopefully the rain will make the hens get on the high grown now.if they get in the bottoms later and it floods the nest is gone.sometimes a lot of rain is good fore the birds.
post the pic.of that big one you get.
good luck.

Hey at least it isn' t snowing down there. Today we got dumped on with snow. In the area I am hunting which happens to be above 5000 feet got 28 inches and is still coming down hard. With the season about 1 month away, I am praying for some warmer tempetures and a lot of luck
