BT and other call makers
Well Adrian i'm going to pick your brain again and anyone else that will allow it What do you sign your calls with? I just used one type of pen and allowed it to dry. Then I put my first coat of protection on it and it ran!! Not too much but enough. Also was wondering about sap in black walnut. I have a beautiful black walnut pot going with some great grain showing, then there is a spot of two of sap. Was looking at some Bullseye clear sealer that is supposed to cover it up, anyone have any experience with this product. As always, thanks in advance BT and anyone else.

Hey! I'm just a yellow belly striker builder! not a call maker I've been asked a number of times to sign things and strikers are one. I use a "Sharpie permanant marker" double tipped is a good one. It won't run , I just signed a striker 2 minutes ago and sprayed it. no problems...BT

I went to a Michael's Art Supply and bought several types of colored pens. The one I really like is a silver Medium Gel Grip by Sanford. I spray on my first coat of acrylic as soon as I finish signing them, and I get no runs. Silver looks really good against the walnut.

Thanks Guys!! Went to Michaels yesterday before the post so now i'm kicking myself. Will have to go back and get that silver pen for my walnut pots. Adrian, thanks for the sharpie fine point suggestion. Bought one today at wally world and it worked great on my sassafras pots.
