anyone make their own glass or slate calls completly? not buying a pot and slapping some glass on it.....im talking about turning the pot on a lathe and fitting glass into it and the whole 9yards.....maybe even harvesting my own wood!! then ill turn a matching striker....anyone ever do it like that before?? any advice?? where to drill holes..how big? how many? ect ect......also the sound board...what do i use to hold the sound board to the pot??? also do i want to use double or single pan glass for the best sound? what material makes the best soundboard? im going to try to make atleast 2 call a slate and glass.....but need suggestions on the soundboard and how to put it in there and also the best holes ect you got....also does wood species matter much?? i havent decided on that yet...i might go with some exotic with great color and lines or something.....does that matter at all? any advice will be helpful..my shop teacher gave me the ok already...so i have to run a drawing by him tomarow and then ill be set to get some wood and start before someone steals the lathe...thanx alot...
