Question about my new slate call
Today I decided to use up my Diks (I knowI left outthe "c" because it wontpost the name)gift card, so I got myself a slate call made by H.S. Strut called the "Li'l Deuce II." I got it home and took it out to play around with it, when I noticed that the striker is just a hollow tube. Is there supposed to be a tip on the end of it, or is it just supposed to be hollow?
Edit: I scowered the internet and was able to find a zoom in picture of this call and confirmed that it is hollow. Sorry for posting this topic.

Yep, probably black too? Sounds like a carbon strike. Personally I don't care for them, too high pitched and squeaky. Good luck with the new call and remember to practice, practice, practice!

i concur on the too high pitched... I have two and would trade them both in for a synthetic striker my dad lost. I dont even remember what it was made of but it was by far my best one.

RE: Question about my new slate call
yeah Ive been messin around with it andIm startin to sound somethin like a turkey lol. It is high pitched, but still much softer than the box call ive been using. Ill probablbuy another striker when I get a little better at using the call.
