Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

I'll put our post back to top with the tom that I killed last week. The birds seemed to almost done breeding season. Not very responsive at all. So my dad and I had to resort to others tactics to kill our two toms. We both spot and stalked. I killed mine at 21 yards... 25 lb 7 oz, 8.5 inch beard, and 7/8 & 15/16 inch spurs. He scored 60.5625.

Did my homework, watched 3 big toms yesterday in a field till almost dark last evening, put a flanker on them this A.M. Had birds gobbling all around me probably 10 different birds in every direction, didn't know which way to turn! Must have heard 300 gobbles this A.M. and close.Made a move after they hit the ground and closed in a bit closer and managed to cokes a tom away from some hens at 7:00 A.M. the 835 barked out and done deal,no flopp'in. 20 lbs 6 oz, 9" beard and 1" spurs.Had to bike in a couple miles to get in on them. Score 58.375

All of the teams score's are posted in the ( Turkey teams posted edited ) at the top of this page.
Keep in mind , everybodys score may not show up untill deerdust gets the time to post them.
Last time I checked we only had three showing , I turned in and reported all the scores except for two ( there pending ) on the ok from the team mate.
We have a total of 11 entrys in so far and our team is looking real good.

Saw 3 shooters this evenning feeding around the horses. I watched them roost about 200 yards from the house (60-70 yds from my blind). Im gona have to pull some strings (pun intended) at school so I can hunt in the morning. This weekend is the end of the KY season. I'll be at Churchill Downs withsome horse trainers on Friday evenning and all day Saturday for the derby. But I still have my IN tag!
