Default Pattern Master Choke?

just wondering, but has anyone ever tried a pattern master choke for turkey hunting? I believe they work well for birds and deer, but I wasnt sure if anyone ever took time to pattern them with turkey loads?

just figured I would ask

thats what I was wondering... with buckshot and steel shot it does well from what I see. I think the ID is .671 which wouldnt have a tight pattern for small loads

I went ahead and tried mine also... the pattern sukked with turkey loads. Wasnt even close to be tight. It was a nice wide pattern area, but about 50pellets shy of the other chokes in the kill zone with #5's

The PM patterns get better as the shot size gets larger. Thats why they shoot buckshot better than anything else on the market. Steel shot is also nice and dense, but also uniform, especially with larger steel like 2s and BBs. They just don't seem to do as well with smaller shot.

i had the most success while duck hunting with BB shot using the PM.

I ordered a jelly head choke this week. I will let you guys know how that combo works.

I was looking at that one also... my truglo xtreme is doing the best so far. I may try a kick's one to see how that works. The truglo does well untill after about 28-30yards

the pattern master at 25yards looked like a improved choke. Its covered the whole area, just not a tight pattern

I have only used my Patternmaster with 00 buckshot, but I like mine for that.
