As close as you can, so you know what is coming and what is not coming to where you will be hunting... at least in seeing distanceof your stand.

What kind of camera is it? A regular flash camera or a IR camera, because sometimes the big bucks get spooked by a flash.

I know for a fact that flash will sometimes freak out the bigboys. I have seen them jump from it. I would def take my camerias down at least a month before the seaosn to let things calm down.

More so than the flash spooking the deer....I have been thinking that maybe me slipping in every two weeks to check the cam/change batteries is a bad idea? People mountain bike right around my area and all, but do you think it scares off deer to be in the area so often?
