Another arrow question

I guess this is more along the lines of personal preference over functionality, but I’d like to see what you guys do.
When picking an arrow to shoot (hunt with) what process do you go by, BESIDES getting a properly spined one? Assume all scenarios use a properly spined arrow.
In regards to total arrow weight, FOC, head weight, material of construction, etc? Do you follow the 9 gr/lb guide? Or do you prefer to go higher?

I generally goat least10 grains per pound. I don't like the way my bows feel and soundwhen arrows get much lighter than that. FOC no less than 10%, so what ever head weight it takes to get there. Material of construction? I won't use any arrow that's noteitherwood, aluminum, fiberglass, carbon, aluminum/carbonor carbon/glass composite.
I really like wood and the way it makes the bow feel. Aluminum is so consistent and shoots great. And I've gotten to be quite a fan of the carbon/glass composite arrows for their durability.
Haven'tgotten into the carbon arrow/extreme FOC stuff yet, but I do need to try it.

I went with 50/55 Ceder with my Martin Hunter(50# @ 28"),they work well with the Hunter,as far as my Kudu(50# @ 28")goes I went with Bemen 400 clasics due to the fact that it is in my veh most of the summer and ceder would warp, with my longbow I also shoot 50/55 ceders but really dont have it tuned yet due to the fact I havespent more time with the recurve's.

I shoot a variety of differant weight bows so my arrow weights go from about 8gr/lb-12gr/lb. I like shootingthe same speed off all my bows so I'll use differant weight arrows--be it alum, carbon,or wood(don't use wood too much anymore)to get that same "flight picture".FOC--I couldn't figure that out if my life depended on it-never seemed to be an issue

when it comes to arrows, i shoot what my bow wants, if it needs carbons to shoot good then that what i put on it. i like to go with 10 to 15% for my foc. i have been told that 15% is too much but i had one batch of cedars that were right at 15 and they flew like darts. but they were also tapered shafts.
