Open or close stance

Going by the diagram, I would also think that your own physical traits would have a big effect as to what is better for you. My own stance is open but then again, if I were to "open" my stance my left foot (lead foot) would bepointed almost straight at the target, at least ever since I tore up that ankle and knee.

Bernie Pellerite feels the open stance is superior and more comfortable because the shoulders are aligned and not stressed like theparallel stance.
Also, less chance of your arm getting slapped by your bowstring with the open stance according to Bernie.
