RE: recurve vs longbow?
You know I saw one bow, thats alot like my savannah (laminated reflex-deflex) longbow but half the price. Made by AIM archery. Looked like a nice rig. I thought my bow was little smoother. But I would give it a try. It runs around 200 dollars.

RE: recurve vs longbow?
I have this Reflex deflex laminated bow I made a few years ago, I will put it up to any recurve of the same specs, it shoots very fast and likes any kind of arrow, it is 69"@28" it is made of ossage and laminated on both sides with black mica, the riser is ossage also, I wish I could hunt it more but its #60 which is just a little too much for me anymore, some days I can pull it and some days I can't, depends on the rheumatoid arthritis.
I also have recurves by various voyers but none are as good as this self bow, I will sell it for $150 and include a new flemish string.
