A Diamond is for NOW!!!
Got a new Diamond Victory Solitaire last weekend to play with I've committed my Allegiance to hunting duty only for the '05 season and wanted another bow for general practice and 3D shooting. My income tax refund is now a bit less than it was I wanted to check out the Diamond line and I did about a week or so ago and I pulled the trigger on one a few days ago and brought her home This is no bargan counter bow and is VERY much like the BowTech Patriot only with a bit longer ATA and brace at 34 3/8" and 7 3/8". The quality of the finish is great and I think I like the Mossy Oak Break UP a bit better than the Obsession on the Allegiance. The Victory has a rubber grip that I thought I'd change but it's quite narrow and feels really good to me. My shooting also tells me that it's not stealing any accuracy at all!!! I'm getting some 4 inch groups at 50 yards with my Easton Fat Boy 340's and they are going 272 fps! This bow is set on 60 pounds and 29 inch draw and the draw cycle is probably the smoothest I've felt on a single cam bow, not harsh at all. Some other speeds I got were:
301.4 grain arrow-- 305 fps
356.2 grain-------- 282 fps
391.4 grain-------- 272 fps
444.3 grain-------- 257 fps
484.0 grain-------- 247 fps
518.0 grain-------- 240 fps
With the heavier arrows it's getting over 66 foot pounds K.E.!! this bow seems to be averaging about 12 fps slower than the Allegiance at the same specs Shooting the bow reveals a bit more "jump" than the Allegiance but still very managable and the bow is very quiet.
More testing and pics to come soon!!

Would you say that this is a typical single cam "jump"?
Apart from that it looks like it is shooting some good numbers.
I finally made up my mind last night and have set my Victory Dual up as my 3d bow
Installed the Magnock reciever so it is ready to go Just have to head over to my range this afternoon and sight in.
I will have to crono it agan now that I have dropped my arrow weight from 408 down to 317 gr's it should be spitting them out around 280-285 fps plenty legal for both IBO and ASA

RE: A Diamond is for NOW!!!
I think the limbs aren't quite as parallel on the Victory as compared to the Allegiance, kinda like the Justice and Liberty with the Liberty a bit more laid back. The jump isn't much at all,, but I'm comparing it to the Allegiance which is very nice. For the price difference, I think most could overlook "the jump" What stands out the most is the silence of the shot and if you're shooting at 40 yards +,, consistent accuracy

Sounds like a great bow/setup Russ. Those numbers are quite impressive. I would be willing to be that the Diamond Victory will give great competition to some of the other mail order style bows.......with more attention to detail and quality. I am itchin' to get my hands on a Triumph but it looks like it may a be a bit yet. I hope to post something when time and the situation allows.
Nice bow.
Nice bow.
