Default String replacement

I can't decide whether to order a factory Bowtech replacement string or try out one of the Winners Choice strings. Anyone have a recommendation?

Neither is a poor choice.

For a BowTech, I would go with the BT replacements. Simply because they are lighter, quieter, & faster with very little creep. Not to mention, much less expensive.

I put WC on all my other brand bows because I get a good discount at my shop, but I stick with the custom strings BT uses on my BowTechs and have never seen the need for anything else. When I got replacement strings for my Liberty a couple of months ago, I had to put in a twist in the cable after about 30 arrows, another at 75 or so, and after a 100 shots, they settled. Haven't moved the slightest bit since. WC settle in about half that time, but cost twice as much and are louder. Another 50 arrows or so is no big deal to me.

BT has the best factory strings on the market AFAIC. Much better than the competition.

Thanks for sharing your experience Jeff. I've been very happy with the BT factory string but I've read alot of positive things about Winners Choice strings that had me wondering if I should give them a try. Although the manual states 2500 shots before replacement I estimate I have well over 3000 shots on the string and it's just now needing replaced.

While I'm thinking about it, is there any special lubricant that's recommended for the axles? I was thinking about completely breaking down the bow when I replace the string and clean/re-lube everything.
