I still wish they made the plungerrest. I would sure like to try one on my Protec. I do like my cavalier and plunger. And I get tight groups too. I tried shooting with a release a few years back. And just missed the simplicity of shooting fingers with a flipper plunger. I even tried carbons for the first time this week I bought a 1/2 doz. CX terminators. and I think I hate them I was shooting pretty good groups with a few more flyers than with my XX78s. Then I took a break and put on a couple of broads heads on and shot a nice 2 ft. group. Not to mention almost getting a hernia trying to pull the darn things out of my 3-D target. I went back in and got some aluminums and shot better and the cold aluminum shafts felt good on my hands. After getting friction burns pulling the Carbons out of my target.
Another old finger rest that I have is the GFK Pro button. Simular to the plungerrest but not as good. I actually bought it only a couple of years ago I was pretty disapointed. The instructions look like they were printed in the 70s. It fell apart pretty fast.

I shot most of the old rests and off the shelf prior to that ---from bare shelf, to stick-on, to plunger, to springy, and up from there. Tab, glove, and even tried the "no glov"! (LOL) I shot some of my highest scores ever with a springy that I "customized", and then later a modified version of the "new style" browning rest. (forget the name right now, the one with the plastic piece on top of a spring, looked like you'd never be able to hit anything, but they worked quite well!) I shot a York Coronet compound around 1975 off the shelf with fair results, and later I too shot a Browning compound off the shelf, tho it was the Bushmaster, not the Xcellerator or Cobra. This was my first "short-bow" with "camo" laminated wood riser---I was excited about that bow, but it was short-lived, hehe! I shot my springy's off of Jennings T-stars, along with a Williamsons for tournaments. Hunting bows evolved to hunter supremes and the like when they came out.. Golden Eagle Hunter bows were a rage around here also for awhile and they laid an arrow where you pointed them--- as long as the limbs didn't twist out on you at 80+ lbs! Many good bows and rests came and went over the years, and many are still doing so today. Thanks Arthur for jogging the memories! Good shooting, Pinwheel 12
