I was wondering if I could get some advice on broadheads for my setup. I am shooting a Mathews Legacy 28" 65 pounds using Easton ACC 3-49s. There are so many brands and types of broadheads out there I'm just not sure which are effective. I plan to use them on deer and elk mostly. I was leanning towards the Stealforce 100gr. 4blades , but was wondering if expandable heads , like the Wasp steelheads were worth the money or not.

Any helpful suggestions and or real life experance with these broadheads would be appricated. Thanks!!!

ijimmy thanks for the vote of confidence. With elk in the mix I would stick to a quality fixed blade head. Muzzy's Stingers, Steelforce, wasp hammers, Thunderheads, Rocky Ti's, Slick tricks and many others will work great. The key is tuning your bow well, using the proper amount of helical and fletching size and matching the size of the head to your bows KE levels.

5 Shot, Can you give me a narrative rundown of where, based on your experience, the Rocky Mountain Ti-100's fall vs. other fixed blades? Also, I am thinking of switching, for the first time, from mechanicals (Rocket Wolverines) to the Ti-100's so any pro's or con's/additional thoughts would be appreciated.

Just to let you know !I been using the Steelforce 100's for about 3 years now and I really like them .This season I tried the Crimson Talon's and I'm not impressed with them espeacially for the price I won't be buying any more .They flew well but couldn't take the punishment and they didn't stay sharp very long.So I went back to my ole reliable the Steelforce 100's

The Rocky Ti's are among the best fixed blade heads on the market. They are tough, acurate, and very sharp. I don't think you will find sharper heads anywhere. You will find that the Rocky ti's will penetrate better than your mechanicals, but won't cut as large a wound channel. They are also a good bit tougher than the Rocket heads.

If your bow is tuned and your using at least 4" fletching with some helical you will find they fly great.
