The biggest difference in string quality is not in the materials used. It is the construction method. Some are much more careful and use techniques that make for a better string (better servings, no creep). You are not paying for string, you are paying for knowledge and technique.
Buying from a large company with great technique (like Winner's Choice), will cost more, but the string will preform very well. There are some great values out there, including some individual string makers , like Berry Strings, that will give you a great product at a lower price. I make my own, and they are the best, simply because I am so darn meticulous and careful when making the string for my own bow.

Wayne (Berry) makes every string himself (like you for your bows). How many string builders does winnerschoice employ?
So far I can't see where a string could be any better than the Berrys. And for sure not twice as good. AFAIC, I can find alot of places to spend that 40 to 50 dollars of archery money and still have a TOP NOTCH string and cable set on my rig. I'll know more later because I'm still waiting for these to "break in"

Consequently, their strings will cost more. A one-man company like Berry Strings, is working with almost no overhead and is willing to work for little money per hour of work. He's too inexpensive in my opinion. Considering that they are handmade custom strings, he's practically giving them away.

Wayne is building one or two sets a day (on average) in addition to teaching school. I have no idea on how long that takes. I leave making strings up to the pros.

How can this be? I would much rather sell alot of strings for a lower price than a few strings for an inflated price. Remember who your customers are, we all don't have the disposable money of some.
Can some one tell me how long it takes to make one string?

I bought a set of Winners Choice for my Cybertec I had a couple years ago and can't say a bad thing about them. Excellent quality. Yes, they are very expensive though, but if you shoot a lot, will pay for themselves actually.
I personally am going to venture into another maker this year. Wolf Den bowstrings to be precise. They seem like a very nice string and the company was very quick to respond to my questions. Pre-stretched and a guarentee against peep rotation and stretch. All this for around 50.00 a set. Not bad I think.
