Al I can tell you further is that the PAT ia about 8 to 10 fps faster than the LIBERTY
Based on the ibo rated speeds, the Pat should be about 20 fps faster. Did you shoot thru the Chronograph with identical arrows? Just curious b/c i'm going back and forth between the Liberty and Pat. 20 fps faster justifies the tade off IMO, but if it is only 5-10 fps, I may opt for the Liberty.

If I had to buy a Bowtech, I would buy a Liberty, because of the quietness, and recoil free bow it is! Speed is not everything!

The wife's new '04 Patriot VFT shoots 280 fps at 60 pounds and 26 inch draw with a 302.1 grain arrow. I shot a Liberty through the chrono and it did 291 fps with the same arrow and draw weight but with a 29 inch module. The Patriot IS much faster but the Liberty is butter smooth drawing,,, it's like someone else drew it for you[8D]

That night my brother in laws cronograph was not working right, but when they first arrived to his shop he was shooting them all then he narrowed them down to the PAT and Liberty(deciding on which one to shoot for the year). he was getting a reading of 8 to 10 fps difference continually. And that was with a 350 gr. arrow. I'll be going back next week to shoot the PAT w/my 3d arrows and hunting arrows to see what speed I would be getting. I'll shoot them both and I'll report back to see if it's really 8 to 10 fps.(the PAT and LIBERTY) . Even though he knows his stuff.

For what its worth I shoot Mathews and love them. But today I was killing time and stopped at a shop that sells Bowtech. He eventually talked me into shooting the Liberty and all I can say is WOW. I want this bow. I wish I would of heard of Bowtech before I bought my Mathews. I'm fairly new to all this and hadn't even heard of them. My better half will kill me but I'm getting one!!!

It should be in anytime and I am ITCHING to get that baby home and get it all ready for this spring. These PA gobblers better watch out cause BuckMagnet is going to give them death from Liberty!!!!!!!!!1
