I have or I should say had them both. the block will last longer its deeper on the layers are tighter. I bought a blackhole this spring and I would not recomend this target at all not for the price. Even if you shot just feildpoints it would not last you any longer than a 20-25 $ bag target. I was just using it for feild points then I took it out for one session of broadhead practice and now its pretty much toast. Broadheads will destroy any targer fast. I had my block for maybe a year and a half before it was totall toast. I had the pro model and shot broadheads through it but not on a regular basis just enough to know they were hitting with my feild points. I' d go with the block over the blackhole. But personally I' d like to find something that could take broadheads better.

One more thing. Block Pro, $69.95 at Sports Authority. Thats $30.00 cheaper than Cabelas and Bass Pro.

Ones just as bad as the other, neither will stand up to broadheads for long.

No target will stand up to the punishment of broadheads forever. But I think The Block is one of the better targets out there for broadhead use. I' ve had mine for about 1 1/2 years now and, while the face may be chewed up a little, it still stops every arrow. None have even come close to passing through. I don' t have any experience with the black hole but I' ve definitely been impressed with The Block.

The thing that always cracks me up about the ads for the Black Hole is that they make it sound like a big thing that their layers are vertical rather than horizontal like their competition. They say this is better for tree stand practice so you' re not shooting down through the layers of foam. But all I have to do with my Block is turn it on its side & now I have the same thing. I' ve just always thought that was pretty funny.
