RE: Trap Door Rest
I tried this rest over the past few weeks using
4 inch helical fletch. No problem with fletch
clearance but I kept getting getting unresolvable
vertical stringing on my groups. Every once
in a while I would drop a shot for no reason. Other than
this I really liked the rest and would have
stuck with it. I went back to my GKF prong rest.
Nice round groups again.

RE: Trap Door Rest
This rest has one major flaw that kept me from getting one....if you hit the front of your riser just a little it will go off & your arrow kits the riser......not a good thing to happen while bowhunting. for hunting look for something else.

Yes, I paper tuned for bullet hole.
Arrow flight seemed good to, even with
broadheads. Just unexplained
up and down "flyers". I tried
different settings on the sensitivity
screw too.

RE: Trap Door Rest
I have one here arms length away, after app. 75 shoots, got off of that rest, just like the old Barner (still in my attic) only thing I did was move the nocking point around trying to get any group, nothing, they say its takes 100 shots to break it in, Bull!! Also at the same time I purchased a GK Freefall rest, now that showed promise, I thought the rest had to many screws and things that could loosen up. I wasn't caring for that, but I like it, except when the launcher came up (using the rubber) there wasn't a solid stop to it, ya had to rely on the rubber for the stop and I couldn't trust that ) I was looking for this rest to try with my Vapor Shafts but damn can't locate it, must of dump'd it, my lost. Back to my GK Premier or a tuner rest.

RE: Trap Door Rest
I don`t own a trapdoor yet, but I have setup three of them on bows for my friends. Don`t know if I am just getting lucky or not, but each one tuned perfectly with some adjustments, and you can smack the bows pretty hard from any side without the rest dropping. After powder testing, it is apparent that the rest is dropping at the shot in plenty of time. These guys all used them to hunt this year with no problems.
From the results I have seen, I would not hesitate to use one for 3-d, or hunting.
