I have been out of archery for 27 years and things have changed dramatically. In the past I was always a finger shooter and what I am finding is that all the new bows are geared for release shooters. Are there any hunting compounds out there geared toward finger shooters or should I change my mind and learn to shoot with a release? I miss the comraderie that I found when I shot archery and would like to experience that once again. Thank you

all i can say is there is some bows that you can shot fingers where you will n ot get pinched fingers but not many. If your are going to use fingers then go to a recurve, if you are going to use a compound then learn to shot a release becuase it will help a lot and it is better to learn i think.

I shoot fingers with the new Hoyt Vectrix XL it is 36"ata. That is as short as I wanted to go without finger pinch.

Thanks gibsonhoyt. I'll go to the shop and give it a try if they have one on hand.
