Broadheads

That's cool... I've never shot mechanicals, but I've read good things about NAP Scorpions.
Tell you what - PM me with all your bow info. I have that archery program OnTarget2 loaded on my PC at work. It's a great program and tells you virtually everything about your bow and setup and recommended arrows, spine weight, foc, and the proper tip.
I need to know:
what your bow is (name brand, year, etc...)
draw weight and % letoff
draw length
any accessories on your bow string (silencers, peep, nock, string loop, etc...)
what bow sight you have
what arrows you shoot, and their length, type of fletching, nocks, etc...
...and finally the 100gr NAP Scorpions for broadheads.
Then, I can enter in all the info and it will show me the results of your bows setup with 100gr tips, including your FOC and a rough estimate of your bows' speed. I can copy/paste the screen image and PM it back to you for you to keep.

Stretch,
The advice to download a copy of Easton's tuning guide is a good one. Such things as basic setup of a bow, arrow dynamics (FOC, etc) and tuning and maintenance is all in there, and pretty much in layman's terms.
It's much cheaper than going to the book store.

A heavier broadhead (or any tip for that matter) will stiffen your spine.
