how to shoot for within a blind?
Hey guys,
I'm going to be hunting from a ground levelblind this year. The problem is I'm not sure how to go about shooting in one. With a rifle, I would just sit in a chair in my blind and aim when the opportunity presents itself. But with my longbow, I feel awkward when trying to draw the bow in a sitting position. What is the best way of blind hunting with a bow?

Depending on the situation (angles, elevations, openings in the blind etc.) Many times I will sit in my chair until I see animals then kneel down or squat until I'm ready to shoot. Then I either kneel down or stand up in my blind.

My first year I used a chair and it was ok. This year I bought a small stool with adjustable legs so you can set it up any way you want. (got it at Dunham's) I shoot comfortably from the stool but what I'm going to do is, when deer startcoming in,I'm just going to slide it outand put it inthe corner. Now I can manuever on my knees. I think you'll find that sitting and shooting is a heck of a lotharder than standing and shooting. At least it was for me. I wasn't nearly as steady as I was in my ladder stand.
