I have been doing some pricing lately. Depends where you live. On the average...anywhere from 3-400 dollars.

Those are nice bucks. From Northern VA, you will pay about $350 and almost every place takes1 year to get it back to you.

What type of measurements or skinning process would I need to do for an antelope? I'm hoping to get an antelope in a few weeks and was curious about field care of the cape.I would like a "head and shoulder" mount. I called around town (kansas City) and was told a few different things ranging from skin and salt immediately to leave the cape on the body and let a processor cape it out for me. Either way they (taxidermists) all told me to make sureI have the cut up the back of the neck and to cut the head off at the skull. Let them do the fine skinning around the eyes, ears, etc. Any thoughts?

Max, I tell my customers to make contact with a taxidermist out there before your hunt, to go over if they can cape it partially and make freezer arrangements if the head is intact. Pronghorns are tender, in that the hair is not too deeply rooted. Youll see when you watch the hair fly in the scope on bulletimpact. When cutting dwon the back of the neck, go to one side or the other of the neck "mane" so the taxidermist can make it stand back up when mounting and sewing.
