start shopping NOW before you have something you want mounted...i shot a squirrel that was in rare coloration what...almost 3 years ago??? and i havent gotten it back yet!!! i looked around his shop...squirrel mount he had looked awesome....135...decint...ok how long? ahhh a year or so....ok...year goes by nothing....i called him a few months ago and he said sometime in august....ya...i think im calling him today....thats BS...and i know WHY he does that...my friend had the same problem with him with a fish....he will get your deer back within 6 months...along with any other LARGE expensive mounts....but small game he lets pile up till he has no BIG expensive mounts to do......wish i would found someone else now....now when i got my fish done this year i shopped around.......caught it...took it home showed dad...wrapped it properly...packed it in a cooler with ice...and drove to every shop around....and found a guy that can paint like noone else....and when i asked to have the fish at an S bend like it was hitting a lure with my spinner in its mouth he said no problem...cut me a break because i actually knew him from another msg board...but great work...cheap price.....also look into caring for your game you want to have mounted....and TAKE LOTS OF GOOD pictures RIGHT after its caught or killed.....ASAP.....im now doing that...saving them on my PC....and making 2 CDs with the pics...one for myself to have and one for the taxidermist....price is the least of my worrys when getting a mount done...im only 18...going to college....and i dont care...i want a good mount i can look at for the next 80+yrs(yes im living to be 100+ lol) and say i remember that day....man that mounts beautiful....and pass them on to the kids........cant wait to get my 2 mounts back...the fish taxi was honest and saida few months at the most....probably have it before i leave for school...but i talked to him..he got busy at his REAL job...and was honest about it......no biggie....honesty is all i can ask for.......dont lie and tell me ahh within a year...and 3 years pass and it is burried in the freezer somewhere....do your homework.....
