I have not seen many signs of rut and the necks on the bucks I' ve seen aren' t swollen. Have I missed somehthing?

The indian weather has them screwed up. The normal time that they go into rut has been unseasonably warm. Hold out for the second rut. Maybe????

Shot an 8 pointer in Montgomery county on Saturday the 22nd. Neck was swollen and you could smell him from 50 yards. He came in trailing some does that passed through about 30 minutes earlier. From what I' ve seen the rut is winding down and the bucks are searching for any receptive does that are still around.
