RE: NC sunday hunting
I work M-F with no opportunity for evening hunts. Saturdays are spent with the kids' activities (soccer, basketball, football, etc). I might average 1 Sat. hunt per month if lucky. If a hunter doesn't want to hunt on Sunday, then by all means don't hunt on Sunday. However, those hunters that wish to hunt Sunday, including myself, should have that right. I don't have 3-4 weeks vacation to use.
It's gotten to the point now that every year I re-evaluate whether I should even purchase a license or join the hunting club for what, a few days of hunting. What I can't understandis why someone can't hunt Sunday, then attend church later in the morning. Have a good day andhopefully we'll meetin the woods hunting on Sunday one day.

RE: NC sunday hunting
As a hunter that has traveled to many states hunting for big game and waterfowl, the idea of NC hunters and the NCWRC not supporting sunday hunting comes as no surprise.Southeastern NC is absolutely the worst area as many here do not want anyone to hunt or fish on Sundays but have no problem going shopping where others have to work. The politicans, that includes the NCWRC,are to worried with offending the religious factions to have the backbone to stand up for property owners rights-but have no qualms about infringing on them and taxing them to .
For anyone interested,if you want to hunt Sundays in NC come and join a large hunting club that I manage and grab your bow.we can hunt and do what we love with no competition and no dogs.

Sunday hunting encourages prayer.
Sunday hunting encourages prayer.
Matt.18:20
[20] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Gen.9:
[3] Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

If you do not want to hunt then on sunday then stay home. If you want to hunt then you should be able to. Thats whats wrong with this country. Too darn many people trying to tell you what you can or can not do. Its bad enough that local, state and federal government have trodden so deeply on or individgual rights that we, as adults can't even decide whether we want to wear seatbelts in our personal vehicles or that adults have to physically leave state property to smoke or dip another personal choice. The state should not try to make laws on what is a purely religious matter!
