Coyote sleeping?
Where do coyotes sleep?
Do some sleep in dens or is that just for females and pups?
Also does the male (father) stay and feed the pups after birth or does the female do it by herself?

RE: Coyote sleeping?
It's been wy observation that as a rule coyotes don't sleep or really spend any time at a "den". What they will do is pick a spot that is thick and fairly secluded and lay up for the day. Bitches with pups of course will have a den, in fact, she may have multiple den sites. When one site becomes to dangerous for the pups for what ever reason or becomes to flea infested she moves them to a new site. The alfa male is not allowed into the den itself but stands guard close by. He brings food to the female while she is stuck in the den suckling the pups. Later as the pups get older both parents will bring food back to the den for the pups.

RE: Coyote sleeping?
Aside from the breeding season. Coyotes are similar to a lot of other wild animals in this regard, and they will look for similar cover to rest in. They are however more habituated to human presence though. I watched 2 coyotes almost daily last Summer living in a culvert within the city limits of where I live. They went through the culvert at night i assume, under a busy road to get to a large prarie dog town the next block over.
