hey yall, i am going up over christmas break to do a little coyote hunting/trapping......anyways, i was wondering if a 223 wssm was to big for yotes, ive shot a skunk with it before when i was coyote hunting and it BLEW a hole in it just a lil smaller than a baseball

The amount of damage to the pelt will be determined by the ammo. you use. It'll work just fine, but depending on which ammo., and the bullet placement on the coyote,you may or may not blow big exit holes.

I hunt for the fur so id say that its not a very good choice but go for it if you dont hunt fur.
