My buddy from Wyoming came down for deer season and stayed with us for about 2 weeks. We got done deer hunting and decided to try out some predator hunting. Now im a big predator hunter. I hunt for fur so the smaller centerfires are the way i go...neway we took the deer carcasses and piled them up on the open side of my property. I ranged it from the spot we were sitting to the tree line and it was 653 yards. I was hunting with my 223 AI and he was using his new 218 bee. Now of course ive heard of them but never heard of there performance. He shot a coon and two fox at 210 and 166 yards with it and left the smallest hole ive ever seen! Anyone on here have good expierience with this cal.??? Im lookin into gettin one. I already have a 221 fireball too.

no i have looked in to buying one i think its to light for my taste of hunting i probly use my dads kentender 30-30 pistol loaded down with 180 grain but if it blows it up too much ill probly go to a lighter gun like my 243

The 218bee was an old caliber that almost disappeared years ago.Like all old calibers it has a following of several people that still have one of them and some ammo,I think that I read somewhere that they are trying to bring it back.I'm sure that it is a good varmint round like the 221 fireball,219zipper,222 remington and the 222 remington magnum. If you reload or look hard you can still find ammo for them all!! I love these old calibers I still shoot my 5mm remington magnum and now they are making ammo for it again!!
