would a 204. or a 25wssm be better for coyote hunting

Are you wanting to save the furs or just kill them?If you want a gun for coyote hunting the 204,223,22-250,220swift and many more would be just right.The 25wssm was designed as a deer caliber and is balistically equal to the 25-06 but in a short action,it will kill every coyote that you hit good with it as will the others.In my opinion it would be way overkill and the ammo has to be more expensive than the other smaller calibers,I use a 223 and like it,many love the 204 and I probably would to I just had my 223 ruger rifle before the 204 was ever made or I might have one also,everybody likes something new!!

ditto to what coyote#68 said. If you want something to hunt deer and coyotes with, the 25wssm would be a good choice. But if it's for coyotes only, then the .20 cal. and .22 cals are much better suited.

it is for deer and coyote. but my shots on coyotes will prolly be between 150-300 yards

I hunt fur so the 204 will be a yes for me

.204 will do you well in those ranges from what I hear.
