RE: Titanium Tri-Loc Lightning by Eastman Outfitters.

The blades don't seem sharp at all!!!! They will do for target practice....I won't shoot them that often anyway.

RE: posting pics

I use Microsoft Photo Editor.

If you have it, you can just select File - Save As... Click the "More>>" button and move the quality factor down to the 30's or so.

Hope this helps.

Insert Glue

What is a good glue to use for the inserts? Guy at Gander Mountain suggested "Gorilla Glue". I ended up getting some "Steel Force - Beyond Bond" glue. Seems to be holding up good.....so far.

Titanium Tri-Loc Lightning by Eastman Outfitters.

Has anyone tried this broadhead?

I went out and got a set today from Gander Mountain. Cheapest ($14.99) 3-blade broadhead I could find. Wanted to have some broadheads to shoot occasionally at...

RE: Average Shot Distance

I did't think that at all Badatta.....

What I failed to mention was that was the only group I shot that night after getting home from having my arrows trimmed down from 32½ as they were out...

RE: Average Shot Distance

The responses have been pretty much what I expected. 15 to 20 yards as an average. I've been doing about 90% of my practice now at 20 yards and am pretty much dead on shooting groups of 2 to 4...

RE: Average Shot Distance

6 yards? You should have just clubbed it with your bow and saved the arrow! lol

Must have had your scent covered well. Impressive.

Wanting a new arrow rest......

I'm looking for a new rest. Attached is a photo of the prong rest that came with my bow.

Any suggestions? I know that's a silly question but I want to get a feel for what people like.

RE: the camo arrow

I smell a conspiracy!!!

I can't say much. My carbon arrows are charcoal gray and would be tough to spot too. This is my first year (actually, just a couple of weeks) with a bow and I have yet...

RE: Bass Pro's $30 Block Rip-off?

Which $30 target at Bass Pro Shops are you referring to?

The RedHead Layered Foam or the Morrell Yellow Jacket target? Both are 29.88 at BassProShops.com. They're having an archery "special".

RE: Stupid Question regarding arrow position.

I have a prong rest on my bow (which I think I'd like to change) and I put the odd color vane down to pass between the prongs. I never heard of it either. I assume "towards the archer" means pointing...

Stupid Question regarding arrow position.

Or is it?

I was reading an article that said "The index (odd color) feather or vane should be toward the archer."

Why is that?

Average Shot Distance

Being a first time bowhunter, I am curious to see what you feel is the "average" distance for a good shot on a whitetail.

I've done most of my practice in the 20-25 yard range shooting 3 to...

RE: Correct Arrow Length

Just thinking about that hurts. I hope he is ok and back at it now.

I had the arrows cut down from 32½ to 27½ today. They are now 16.5% lighter. (11.4gr/in X 5 inches). I got home late and...

RE: Correct Arrow Length

Thanks ranch. One thing I should point out about my form has to do with the "bow" in my left arm. I cannot lock out the arm. Broke the radius bone in high school football. That is as straight as it...

RE: Correct Arrow Length

Not including the field point, there is right at 6 ¼ inches to the front of the riser. If I go with the suggestion of 1" past the riser, that would have me trimming them down by 5 ¼ inches.

Correct Arrow Length

Hello all. As my "handle" suggests, I'm new to bow hunting/shooting. I've hunted all my life but never with a bow. I'm 32 years old and after just about a week of shooting in my backyard......I wish...
