Here in Iowa, our shotgun season starts the 1st weekend in Dec. I know hunters that hunt just like bow hunting with tubes, lures, and scents. Trying to fool the bucks into late season rut.

I prefer to add about 1# of beef trim to 5# or more venison, my kids don't like venison burgers, so use it in chili, spagetthi, tacos, goulash when they are visiting.

I must thank my ex for this one. Place 1T of beef bouillon powder in each pint jar before canning, melts in your mouth. I sometimes eat it right out of the jar cold:)
