Wind is a big deal....if it's windy then I would stick to cover. If you stick to cover be patient going in not to jump stuff...I hunt with a wide variety of cover and land type...from corn and bean...

i wouldn' t force the issue. I think a lot have said about the age deal and that prolly has a lot to do with it....also....it might be he is affraid of the woods. I' m 19...and I' ve been going...

The weather and winds have been crappy for Indiana hunters. We' ve just seen a couple same bucks on our land. Just a nice spike that we' re just letting go, and a 4 pointer that we' re letting go...

It was about the same for this past opening weekend for shotgun in Indiana, it wasn' t so much windy as it was wet. We encountered deer mainly moving through thick stuff, I did have a doe come out...

I agree very much with this post. I' m only 19 and have only been hunting for about 6 years. In those 6 years, I have not bagged my first deer, you might be like, well he' s not much of a hunter...

I rattle and call during gun season. We have a really nice at least 10 if not 12 pointer on the land, and it' s the dominate one....I rattled at a 4 pointer, and it looked right at me, and I grunted...
