My Dog Rocks!

Everyone,
Yesterday I was pheasant hunting and I came across a guy who was having trouble finding a lightly wounded bird. I happened to see where the bird went into cover and blocked while the guy...

RE: smith&wesson 25-5?

Sounds like you got a keeper! They tend to go from $400 to $575 depending on where you look. I bought my 4" 25-5 " Big Colt" for $375 used. I got lucky. I love mine and as long as you are...

RE: Dogs foot sore

You might check between the dogs toes real close. Out west we have " cheat grass" it can get between the toes and work it' s way into sweat glands there. My dog has had this happen more than once....

RE: Beretta AL391 or Silver Pigeon???

CJW,
If recoil is the issue, then I would go with any of the Beretta gas operated guns. They will lessen the felt recoil to the shooter somewhat. Heavy clothes, or a recoil pad would be an added...

RE: hunting with fixed power scopes

I have used a fixed 4X Nikon in the past. It was clear, never lost zero and you could beat the crap out of it! I used it in Wyoming to shoot a Mule Deer at 387yds. There were two deer and I said, "...

RE: Hornady V-Max (Groups/Pix)

Great shooting!
I too am a 6.5 Gibbs fan. Mine is an 1-8" twist so all my good groups are with 140-155gr bullets. The 142gr Sierra BTHP Match really shoots! I have some awesome groups from...

RE: HS (hunter specialties) scent wafers.

I have used the cow Elk scent. They are VERY strong. I clip it to my hat and hunt for several days. My hunting buddies made fun and had me put my hat in the bed of the truck rather than have it...

RE: New G5 Montec Broadheads

The Montec is an excellent broadhead. I just can' t justify $14.00 a piece. I think I' ll just keep shooting my Snuffer 3 blade 125' s. They cost me $22.00 for 6. And they are awesome killers.

RE: Favorite Broadhead?

1) Magnus Snuffer 125gr. Blood trails that are almost sickening to look at.
2) Modoc 2 blade 105gr. Best flying broadhead I' ve seen yet.
