RE: spooked buck will he return?

From experience, he will most likely be back as long as that is his regular travel area. If you are seeing a lot of does the chance is definitely increased because he will most likely come chasing...

RE: What do you guy's think about this ?

You don't have anything to worry about. A matter a fact. (I'm 19 years old right now) I picked up bow hunting when I was about 14 or so, and I had a pretty nice 10 pointer come up on me one evening...

RE: Button Buck or Doe?

I will admit it is hard to tell the difference. But always identify your target before you shoot it. If the deer doesn't look much bigger than a dog, don't shoot it. You can also sometimes catch a...

RE: Whitetail questions?

Timbercruiser is exactly right. But also watch for changes in food sources. Example, the nearest cornfield and beanfield to me is about a halfa mile away. My stand is completely surrounded by acorns...

RE: How to get the deer to stop walking to shoot?

experience

I hate to sound like a dick, but I have a little story. I bow hunted a spot all of season (Starts October 1st) and was planning on sittiing there in shotgun season as well (which begins in the middle...

RE: Deer Head, how much is it worth?

I would give him about 7-8 dollars for it as a set of rattling antlers. Not really. I highly suggest doing a full shoulder mount, cause chances are he won't ever see another like that.

RE: HOW LONG SHOULD YOU WAIT FOR A DEER?

Every deer I have ever shot has been in the morning. First off, I stress the use of bright feathers and knocks to better your chances of seeing the arrow to know where you hit. After the shot watch...

RE: What can I use to less the chance of a deer Scenti

I pretty much agree with tazman. I usually leave my clothes hanging outside for a few weeks before season and then cut some of the leaves and twigs from the type of tree I will be setting in and put...

RE: Help explaining hunting to girl friend???

I have faced the same problem. I'm 20 years old, and my current girlfriend and I have been together for a little over two years. When we first started going out, I just straight up told her, "I was...

The eyes of a deer!

My friend and I are 20 years old, we have been spot lighting every year since we have had our licenses. Last night something came up and we started wondering if you could tell the difference between...

Is there a difference between buck and doe tracks?

I'm 19 years old and from Indiana. I have been deer hunting for about 8 years and bowhunting for about 4. One of my best friends that I have hunted with for years says you can tell the difference...
