I have been told by a number of different experienced hunters... if you are putting up a fixed stand... best to get it up weeks before you plan on hunting that spot. And I believe this is good...

I don' t think they have hit full rut yet. There may be some that are close but it isn' t crazy yet... we get the first big change in temp from the tropical weather that we have had... and it will...

In my oppinion there is nothing wrong with paying for a hunt. But there is a difference between buying things and earning things. If I paid for a hunt and took a MONSTER BUCK... yes, I would get it...

He was actually about 30 points and had some 8" drop tines before I took this picture... I knocked off some of those antlers off draggin him down the hill... so reduced him to a 4 pointer. But you...

I was out today in Corning, NY - and yes... the WIND was unbelievable. This morning I thought it was bad... (the wind)... saw one deer at 8am. Back in the stand at 3pm and was out of it by 3:45. ...
