Not positive, but I took him to a voluntary deer check station that NY conducts to have him looked over by a biologist, and he estimated he was about 3.5 years old.

Can't say I have, though I have heard that the occasional dusting with a paper towel sprayed with pledge helps the fur stay in good condition and protect it from mites and the like.

Well I suppose anything is possible. Though I would be really surprised if that was the case. Winter isn't really a good time for mating, as the energy required for mating are required to keep warm....

Yep, In parts of new york you can only hunt with a shot gun, and I know many people who have taken large bucks with a 20.
