WMU 80, around Grand Valley is smokin hot right now....I got a 10 pointer, missed an 8 pointer, my uncle got a 6 pointer, and had another buck come within shooting range but before legal time.... all within 60 yards of each other.... trees are tore up!!.... I'm around Shelburne. Definatly the rut is on, my dad got a brute on monday, he was grunting and following a doe trail before he shot him. His neck is really swollen. Seen a 8-10 pointer chasing a doe wednesday at 10am right across a road and he had his head down the entire time following her like crazy.
seen a big buck today at 12pm when I got off work, he was trottin across a field, bucks are definatly crusing. We got 3 bucks hangin, 9 pointer, and 2 6 pointers....hardly seeing any does though. Bucks are really travelling, they must be having a hard time finding does as well.
another guy missed 2 huge bucks monday as well, my dad seen them running threw a corn field after the other guy shot, very big deer

How big of property are you hunting in Orton, that you haven't noticed any rubs / scrapes...?
