Went hog hunting this past weekend and came back to find 2 inches of water in the tent. I had the fly properly installed, I just think the tent may have been a piece of crap. Needless to say,...

Can Of Worms

I know I am probably opening a can of worms, but I am going hog hunting and the outfitter is strongly recommending that we use fixed 125 Gr. broadheads versus mechanical. I bought some 100 Gr. Rage 2...

Been itching for a new bow. I have an entry level Parker Wildfire I got at BassProShops. Was leaning towards the Hoyt, but found that the Mathews Switchback LD will match my 32" draw. I would value...

RE: Florida Whitetail

About to pull the trigger on a hunt with Nickie at his Florida (Charlotte County) location. Price is affordable. Anyone ever been there?

RE: Florida Whitetail

I did the Trevor Fitzgerald operation last year. It was just OK. I had been considering Nickie's place in S GA.

RE: I got $300

I read a little bit and someone mentioned that Bushnell is discontinuing the 4200? Sometimes the things you read aren't true, but I wonder if there is a reason (if true).

RE: Knife Balde Makes and models.

I have been very happy with my Kershaws. Thier customer service is awesome. I will tell you that last month I placed an order for a Randall Made model #23 here in Orlando. The only problem- the...

I got $300

What rifle scope are you buying for $300?
If I find an additional $300 lying around, what rangefinder are you buying for that price?

RE: Big & Tall Tree Climber

That Summit Titan looks good too. I know it doesn't switch to facing the tree, but it does look a bit larger. Any experience or pro's / con's to the Titan?
Thanks

Big & Tall Tree Climber

I am 6'5" 250lbs and am looking for a climbing tree stand. I like the look and features of the Equalizer, but the man on their web-page looks like his knees are sandwiched in. I also don't want...

RE: Marlin XL7

Thanks, FA. Still doesn't seem to be a lot out there yet- but it all is good so far. Really wanted the Rem 700, but for the price and the reviews PLUS the extra $$ going to optics, I can't seem to go...

RE: Marlin XL7

Just want to be sure that No Frills doesn't mean POS ! One reviewer said it was the roughest barrel he's seen, but I don't know if that means bad or just tough. Anyone who has one or has used in the...

Marlin XL7

I was also looking at the new bolt-action Marlin XL7. It is getting very good independent reviews and only retails for $319 at Gander. I was looking at the Rem 700, but it goes for $500+. I could...

RE: WalMart Rem 700?

Gangly,
I like the way you think! I would bet that the scope is somewhat "sub-par" with the rifle quality.

RE: WalMart Rem 700?

Guys,
Great feedback. No question that there is little or no service at Wally World. As I stated earlier, the person couldn't even open the case as they did not have keys. The more I have looked...

RE: WalMart Rem 700?

I wasn't planning on getting a Rem 700 at Wal Mart, but I got dragged there today for other things so I naturally drifted to the sporting goods. I couldn't find anything on a Remington scope, but I...

WalMart Rem 700?

Went to Wal Mart today and they had a Camo Remington 700 in .30/06. It had a Remington Scope already mounted on it (are these scopes any good?). The person did not have the key so I could handle it....
