Default I got $300

What rifle scope are you buying for $300?
If I find an additional $300 lying around, what rangefinder are you buying for that price?

Bushnell 4200 Elite 3x9x40 with Rainguard, best value out there on a nice scope at about $260.

I would buy a $600 scope and forget about the rangefinder. Tom.

For $250.00 get the Elite 4200. Very good glass. The Rainguard feature (mentioned above by timbercruiser) really does work.

I read a little bit and someone mentioned that Bushnell is discontinuing the 4200? Sometimes the things you read aren't true, but I wonder if there is a reason (if true).

I second HEAD0001. Spend $600 on something like a Zeiss Conquest and forget the range finder for anther day. If you are shooting something like a 243. Win., 270 Win., 280 Rem., 308 Win., 30.06 Spr., 7mm/08, 7 mm Rem Mag. etc. .... you sight in dead on at 150 yards and you are more or less good to go from right on you out to 250 yards with little or no vertical "hold" adjustments necessary for deer sized kill zones.

Bushnell came out with the 6500 Elites this year but the 4200's are still available. The 6500's are more costly. For that price I'd get a Zeiss Conquest.

I would get a Sightron...great optics and no fault lifetime warranty, keeps it zero, have mind mounted on a 30-06 steel zeroed after 200 rounds.
