I recently switched primers from Winchester Magnum to CCI 250 LR Magnum Primers I have not shot all the old but have started loading the new.
My question is will the difference made between the 2 primers be signifigant or not and will i need to resight my rifle change loads etc.....
I plan on going out and shooting to make sure just trying to get an idea of what to expect
thanks in adv

I once changed to a magnum primer from a standard LR primer in a 6MM Rem case. I backed off the charge by 15% and worked back to the very same load I had developed with the LR primer. BTW accuracy increased!!!
In short I could see no signs whatever of increased pressures with a magnum primer over a LR primer......BE CAREFUL!!! that' s just one case.
If your loads currently are " hot" and you change anything at all I' d back off and redevelope your load. I' m betting there will be no difference observed in the loads. However if it was me shooting the rifle, I' d back off at least 10% and re do the load. You can' t be too careful!!
