What are the best primers out there in everyone's opinion?

Has anyone tried the triple 7 primers? Do they burn hotter, or just about the same?

I never tried the new Triple Se7en primers. I refuse to pay the price for them that the store is asking.

I use Remington Kleenbore primers with loose powder and I use Winchester W209 with pellets and loose powder. The only Primer I avoid are the Winchester MLW209. They blew the retainer spring right off my Black Diamond XR.

i tried the Winchester 777 primers. They caused a worse crud ring than shotgun primers do. There was no difference in accuracy between the two.

As Cayugad stated, the 777 primerscost way too much. They were $6.99 at China Imports this morning when i was there lookingaround.

I've used the winchester 777 primers last season and this season with no problems. Accuracy with my current load has been excellent and no crud ring. Of course, I've never really experienced the crud ring phenom to any extend in any of my rifles. I've also used the standard winchester primers in the past with good results.

The only differance I could tell was they crudded up the breach plug right in front of where the 209 sits till they pluged it up and it was very difficult to clean out. Lee

I use win. w209 with 100gr. 777 pellets and it goes bang every time. I haven't have a hang fire yet.

I use win 209 regular primers,I haven't seen any "real" diffrence in performance,or crud ring no matter which primer I use. The only thing I have noticed with the 777 primers,is the guys using them have lighter wallets!Ron
