bucketman, were there big groups coming through near Kiskimaastakin now? Any big racks? Got any pics to share with us?
Those of us getting ready to leave need a fix. No one has posted any pics yet.

Hey spike00 I'll be arriving at Mirage on Monday also. I'll be with a group of 3 other guys from Ontario. We are staying at the lodge in their rooms. Sounds like it will be a good hunt. See you there. Just ask for Luke.

Luv2hnt,we will be arriving on Tuesday morning staying in the cabins, not sure of the cabin number. you and your crewstop by have a beer and exchange some caribou stories.I am driving a black Harley Davidson F350.
This is our 8th or 9th year, only one time have we got the timing right where we have got to see the big herds it was quite a sight !
Good luck to you and your crew, safe driving, hope we get to meet and have that beer.
See you at the Mirage. Will

spike and luv2hnt, We will be at the Mirage on Tuesday in a cabin. Things look like they should still be good for us. Haven't heard much about any big racks, only lots of animals. Hopefully we will get our crack at a few racks. Driving a crew cab chevy and a dually chevy.

the only people seeing more than i was were up at the very end of the road and seeing groups of 50-100 crossing a lake that was either not safe to go on or too far away to shoot at or both. i left a day early and met hunters at 381 that had not limited out but left early due to a bad forecast and having 2 wheel drive. things may be improved when you get there. rumor had it that there were caribou a 4hr. walk for a caribou from kisk. perhaps they made it now. they sure are tasty.
