Out of the 3 I would go with Zeiss www.theopticzone.com

Burris is too bulky of a scope so the Nikon would be second place

Shooting out to 500 yards,a 3x9 isn't gonna cut it. With the money you have available, your better off with the a Nikon or Burris, and getting more power.

I don’t see why not. I shot a deer with a straight 4 x scope at nearly 400 yards...

I have shot deer and pronghorn at just under 500 yards with a 3x9.I currently use 3x10s and find them plenty for big game hunting to 500 yards.

What you need to do now is budget for the ammunition that you will need to shoot out to 500 yards with that rifle to learn the actual trajectory and windage out to 500 yards,as well as develop your shooting skills to become proficient at 500 yards. You won't accomplish that with two or three boxes of ammunition.

Conquest andMonarch are great scopes. I was not very impressed with the Burris Signature 3-12x 42mm I got last year, ended up sending it back.

In your search for scopesin the $400.00 range, don't overlook the Sightron 'Big Sky' 3-12x 42mm, got one last year and I am really happy with it.
